Complete, comprehensive cover
- Comprehensive cover . MediCare International clients will find GP visits, specialist consultant fees, medication, X-rays and even complementary therapies covered after the first £100 (approx. €150/$196). From February 2007, there is no policy excess for the first outpatient claim.
- Full cover for chronic condition treatment costs , such as asthma and diabetes, providing these are not pre-existing conditions.
- Passive War Cover: of particular interest to aid agencies and rebuilding contractors working in Africa or the Middle East, especially Iraq, Lebanon or Kuwait. Policyholders benefit from the full health cover, including hospital benefits and evacuation, in the event of injury by terrorists or as part of a broader war conflict.
Choice of treatment

- If clients are not happy with the quality of local care facilities, they can choose where in the world they want to be treated and we will meet all the costs as covered by the policy.
- Moreover, if our assistance centre agrees that local facilities are below the high standards we set, we will also meet all travel costs to the hospital of the client’s choice
