• To power and heat a full 3 bedroom home in Montreal will const you $250-400 a month depending on time of year and rate of consumption...so the fee they are charging you is slightly high for a year-round charge.
  
  $1,400/month for a full 3 bedroom house, which is in relatively good shape in a proper neighbourhood sounds like fair market charge.
  
  $100/month for internet is a high charge, unless it also includes cable television and local phone use.
  
  
  NOW, about this so-called housing tax. No, it is absolutely abnormal for an owner to expect a tenant to assume this cost. I would try and negotiate this stipulation out of the agreement.
