Under the German Fernmeldegesetz all telephones must be registered to an address and German bank account.
In November 2005 I noticed that ProMarkt and MediaMarkt and Saturn now have notices that telephones are sold on the basis that a German ID Card or a Passport and Meldebescheinigung are presented at point-of-sale.
This means that the German Mobile operators are limiting the discount deals on their networks to those actually legally resident in Germany.Anonymous 22 Ноя 2005, 01:46 - Report
