immigration costs as tax deductions
-

My family of 4 immigrated to Canada last september and spent thousand of dollars moving and paying the ROLF (Right of landing fees). Can I claim any of this in my 2005 tax return due in April?

only moving expenses
for what I know only moving expenses are tax deductible. I moved to Canada two years ago and that is the only thing I was able to deduct (it was about $5,000). A word of caution, keep your receipts, because you will be for sure audited!
