UBS was somewhat arrogant

I have tried to open a regular bank account with UBS in Zurich last week. I had my employment contract, ID and several 1000s CHF with me, but no work permit (yet) and only an address in Germany as I am about to move, i.e. have no apartment yet in Zurich.

They requested CHF 25.000 Security Deposit!!!! Not funny! (I did not apply for a mortgage!!!) Welcome to Switzerland! I am looking for other bank options now.....)).
