dependent visa

my friend came to uk on student visa .she had a visa of 4 years .her husband was a student as well.he became her dependent.he sent her to pakistan forever dogingly and now he on the dependent visa enjoying full time work.my friend wants to come back but they stole her passport.i just want to know whether he can stay or not now
